We all want our students to develop both language proficiency and cultural competence in our classrooms. By using art as a vehicle for communication, we can engage students to talk and write about the perspectives behind the practices and products of authentic Hispanic culture. This session offers several sample activities to use at all levels of instruction in which students become active participants in thinking about art rather than simply viewing it.
